Dance Yoga with Sarra Whicheloe

1 hour per session
The dance of Yoga is a movement practice for health and well- being. Based on South Indian Dance, Sarra weaves together song, hand gestures, active foot work and emotional expression into a creative hour of dance. You will enjoy grace, symmetry and awareness in movement. It is an active and strengthening class involving mind, body and spirit.
You will experience:
Namaskar- Salutation to Mother Earth
Offering of flowers
Goddess Dance
Energising dance steps
Strengthening leg work
Mudra- The language of hand gestures
Locally Sarra is known as a yoga teacher. She has also worked with Shalini Balla in creating Just Jhoom which is a Bollywood Fitness Class. Sarra has performed Indian dance at South Bank Centre and the Place, in London as well as other venues on tour in North England.
All ages and abilities are welcome. Adaptions are given for those recovering from injury, illness, or who have restricted mobility. No previous dance experience required.
