Jess Gamlin teaches regularly at Cranleigh Arts with the following classes:
Adult Ballet – Fridays 12.30pm to 1.30pm
Foundations Yoga – Saturdays 10:30am – 11:30am
Jess started her career as a professional dancer after training at the Royal Ballet school and Italia Conti Academy. Jess travelled the world performing in shows such as Footloose, Copacabana and Grease. She then decided to turn her attention to teaching and hasn’t looked back since. Her style is fun and light and her goal is always to make sure you leave a class feeling inspired, worked hard but most importantly better than when you arrived. Expect to find muscles you didn’t know you had.

Vinyasa Yoga (Intermediate/Advanced)
Beth has been teaching yoga for 13 years. Her style is light and playful, with a deep understanding of anatomy and how to adapt for different bodies. Expect to work hard and rest hard in her classes, as she guides you through a physical practice, interlaced with breathing and relaxation techniques. Beth has a yoga studio in Ewhurst, so is very familiar with the local community.

Iyengar Yoga
Sarra Whicheloe
Mixed Ability Yoga Class – Thursdays 9.30am- 10.30am
Sarra’s teaching style is positive with a dynamic and fluid approach. She loves seeing people of all ages and abilities transform through yoga. She nurtures each individual to practice intelligently at their own pace. B K S Iyengar , from Pune in South India. devised a teaching method for classical yoga that enables all bodies to practice yoga with maximum benefit. Clear instructions, demonstrations and the use of yoga equipment all help towards this aim. Sarra qualified as a yoga teacher in 2001 with Yoga Alliance 500 hours and went on to become a Certified Iyengar Yoga Teacher in 2007. She has been teaching at the Arts centre since 2008. A lively and welcoming group which aims to promote the knowledge, appreciation and care of the decorative and fine arts through talks, study groups, guided tours, visits to private houses, museums, exhibitions and other places of interest to members of the Society. In addition, The Arts Society is committed to promoting the arts to young people through school-based project work.

The Cranleigh Community Choir meets every Thursday to perform and rehearse a diverse selection of music – including everything from pop, rock, bluegrass, folk, r’n’b and jazz swing to classical. Over the years, the choir has held numerous concerts in the community, including performances at Cranleigh Arts, Notcutts Garden Centre, Spring into Cranleigh and at the Christmas Lights celebrations.

The Friday Painters meet at Cranleigh Arts every week to enjoy a morning of painting in all media. Some have not touched a brush since school, some are more experienced. No formal tuition, just a love of art brings together this friendly and welcoming group.
