I work in a variety of media, both colour and monotone. Although I enjoy both landscapes and still life, I love portraiture, especially choosing characters who I find inspirational. Whatever the subject, detailed realism pieces can take 100 hours or more, depending on size. Freer styled work is much quicker and I like to keep things fresh by interchanging my working styles and media. I love that I learn something from every single piece I do, which kind of reflects my philosophy in life! I visit galleries and art events whenever I can and it always makes me want to create when I see the work of others.
