When Cardinal Lawrence is tasked with leading one of the world’s most secretive and ancient events, selecting a new Pope, he finds himself at the centre of a conspiracy that could shake the very foundation of the Catholic Church. Adapted from Robert Harris’s novel, the film has been nominated for eight Oscars including Best Picture, Best Leading Actor (Ralph Fiennes) and Best Supporting Actress (Isabella Rossellini), and also stars John Lithgow and Stanley Tucci.
