I have been an artist nearly all my working life and with this exhibition I hope to show my creative journey of style, technique and approach to the subjects that interest me.
I am mostly inspired by landscape subjects: coastal, rivers, town and country and am fascinated by changing seasons, light and weather. I endeavour to capture its fleeting beauty as it affects the appearance of the scene. I make copious sketches and photograph on location and this allows me to paint in a free, expressive and impressionistic style in my studio.
