For Beginners and Improvers

Slow down, get creative and discover the joy of working with clay in our friendly pottery studio.
Whether you’re completely new to pottery or looking to develop your existing skills, this six-week course is the perfect opportunity to get hands-on, experiment with new ideas and build your confidence in a relaxed and supportive environment.
Under the guidance of tutor Samantha Perkins, you’ll explore a range of traditional hand-building techniques, including pinching, coiling and slab-building, as well as discovering creative ways to add decoration, pattern and surface texture to your work.
There’s plenty of opportunity to experiment, make something unique and simply enjoy the wonderfully tactile experience of working with clay.
Clay, tools and decorative materials are all included in the course price.
Please bring an apron and wear clothing and footwear suitable for getting creative with clay.
