Ewhurst Church of England

For over 175 years, Ewhurst Church of England Infant School has been at the heart of our community. We warmly welcome children between the ages of four and seven, and help them thrive through a cutting-edge curriculum that offers challenge and choice. The last year has seen a major change in our core criteria for phonics teaching, which has meant a new phonics programme for our school. This required new software programmes for in classroom teaching and the need to match the programme with suitable reading books. The monies raised will be used to purchase a wide range of books in line with this new programme, accessible to children of all abilities. Developing skills for life in the nurturing environment of our Infant school, using our indoor and outside classrooms, swimming pool and forest school, provides an exceptional first three years for a child’s education, providing children with the necessary independence and confidence to start their educational journey.
